And second, I'm so glad you said that Butler's query letter. I couldn't even follow it. As someone who spent WEEKS on her query letter and got multiple rounds of feedback from four different people, it felt like he just typed something up like any old email and sent it off. I got a meeting request from Writers to Agents for this AWP, so I don't think it's a scam or anything. Plus, I think the program is mostly designed for emerging writers--not people with Pulitzers haha!
