Love your cover letter to The Wing. I would add that besides remembering names, you have another special talent: making every writer you work with feel that they and their writing are personal and important to you. Not a surprise your name keeps coming up as “the fixer.”
Thanks so much for sharing the connection to Tara McMullin's “a provocation to embrace your own social media use as a project of identity performance!”.
Your posts definitely inspire, as well as engaging my mirthfull, playfull side, a smile emerging as well as food for thought. Most of my life I have been self-employed. While reviewing an advanced double art studio (2018) I did a version of my relationship with my father as performance art involving students who were less than half my age. This inspires a more playful look at my experience in organizational consulting from mid 70's to mid 80's...as performance of my memoir-in-process.
The way I audibly gasped when I learned that *Leigh Stein applied to The Wing.* Maybe I’ll finally write about working at lululemon for 8 years?
Can’t wait to listen to this podcast. Thanks for teaching us all about publishing and marketing but most importantly, thanks for reminding us to have fun along the way.
P.S. Maybe I’ll also write something called The Many Wigs of Leigh Stein?

That made my day—thank you Melanie!
Loved the full circle with Tara (and, everything else, Leigh!)

I didn’t even get an interview at The Wing 😂
You are definitely my "what do I do now?" go to person. Your brilliance and genius amaze me every time I talk to you or view what you're posting.
